Elba is the third largest island in the Mediterranean. This historic and charming island is home to breathtaking scenery, amazing walking country and deliciously cooked, fantastically fresh Mediterranean seafood.

- UK/Pisa - 1
On your first day you'll travel from the airport to Piombino to join the ferry crossing to Elba. Then it's just a short journey to your hotel on the edge of the beautiful village of Marciana Marina where you'll spend seven peaceful nights on a bed and breakfast basis. And don't worry, we'll take care of all the transport. - Marina di Campo & Villa San Martino - 2
A half-day island exploration in the company of your Tour Guide is the perfect way to get acquainted with some of Elba's most beautiful sights. First stop is the tiny and delightful village of Chiessi before you move along the picturesque south coast to the colourful harbour and white-sanded bay of Marina di Campo. If you're a fan of a paddle you'll be hard-pressed to find a more stunning location to dip your toes in the water – you are, after all, on the longest stretch of sand on the island.
Relax as you travel inland, feasting your eyes on the breathtaking scenery as you journey to Napoleon's summer house, Villa San Martino. Take the opportunity to wander around this historic property before returning to Marciana Marina in the afternoon. - Marciana Marina - 3
Enjoy a day spent relaxing in the beautiful harbour of Marciana Marina. Highly recommended today is a visit to Portoferraio, easily reached by bus. The town's Civic Museum displays fascinating archaeological discoveries from as far back as the 8th century BC. You can also explore Napoleon's Winter Palace, where the exiled French emperor made plans to once again conquer Europe. Portoferraio is also home to an open-air market selling local delicacies and Elba's oldest Roman villa, the Villa Grotte, where you'll find beautiful views across the bay. Your Tour Guide will be able to give you all the information you need to explore. - Legend, Mystery & Intrigue - 4
Join your Tour Guide and Specialist Guide today for a magical walk through Elba's stunning scenery. Starting in the ancient mountain hamlet of Poggio, walk a chestnut-flanked road towards the Napoleonic spa before taking the woodland path up to the historic San Cerbone Chapel. Passing the Pisan fortress, you'll then climb to the 11th century Sanctuary of the Madonna del Monte. The walk ends with a gentle descent to the village of Marciana Alta. - Eastern Elba - 5
Journey to the east of the island today in the company of your Tour Guide to explore the remote Roman mining town of Capoliveri and the completely contrasting modern, cosmopolitan resort of Porto Azzuro. The designer yachts in the harbour offer a fascinating juxtaposition set against the 17th century Spanish fortress. - Marciana Marina - 6 to 7
Spend your final two days exploring this cosmopolitan island at your own pace. The delicious freshly caught seafood served in the local restaurants comes highly recommended, and a stroll around the beautiful architecture of the Cotone Quarter, the real old town, will fire up your appetite nicely. Or take the road to the medieval village of Marciana, a maze of alleys and cobbled streets that are a real pleasure to explore. Here you can ride the cableway to the summit of Monte Capanne – Elba's highest point. The views from the top across to the French island of Corsica are well worth the short journey.
Elba has the greatest variety of wild flowers of all the Mediterranean islands. Take the scenic route across the island's panoramic heights to the south and discover beautiful flora as well as Roman granite quarries, sleepy fishing villages and unspoilt sandy beaches.
You can also appreciate Elba's beauty from the sea with a glorious two-hour cruise on 'The Nautilus'. Sail around the cliffs and coves of the northwest coast and explore the Mediterranean's underwater world through The Nautilus' glass viewing base. Keep your eyes peeled for the amazing sight of a shipwrecked boat from the 1970s. Longer boat trips are available to other Tuscan islands such as Pianosa, a protected oasis of rare plant, bird and animal life. - Pisa/UK - 8
We'll drop you back to Pisa airport for your homeward flight back to the UK.
