Take an optional visit to this little-disturbed ancient harbour city and explore a wonderfully preserved Roman amphitheatre and amazing mosaics.

• The Garden of Ninfa - 4
  

  Leave Rome and head south to the breathtaking Garden of Ninfa. Nature runs wild over the ruins of the ancient city of Ninfa as roses, banana trees and an explosion of other flora scramble for footholds in crumbling archways and across the walls of the disused church. Breathe in the beautiful atmosphere before continuing to Sorrento where you'll stay at the magnificent Hotel Alpha for the next four nights of your holiday. If you're travelling during April and May, then the magnificent Monte Cassino Abbey will be your destination instead of Ninfa.

Sorrento - Hotel Alpha (4-star) 4 nights half board.
